Chishimba Kambwili Apologizes To President Lungu
Embattled National Democratic Congress Party-NDC- Leader Chishimba Kambwili has unreservedly apologized to President Edgar Lungu for accusing him of being a drug dealer.
Mr Kambwili who accused president lungu of using presidential planes to courier illegal drugs with Lusaka businessman Valden Findlay has also apologized to Mr Findlay.
Addressing the media in Luanshya this morning, Mr Kambwili says at no time did he verify the information he received from members of the public regarding the association of the head of state and mr Findlay’s family.
Mr Kambwili explains that between august and September 2019, his office was bombarded with unsolicited complaints and at the time he thought it was only right that he brought the information to the public.
He says he has however realized that he should have cared enough to engage the people involved or even to take time to verify the information that come to his attention in the line of his political duties.
Mr Kambwili says it is only right that the affected parties start on a new page as a sign of brotherly love and genuine reconciliation.Meanwhile, Mr Kambwili says NDC members will be informed of the party`s next political move at an appropriate time.
